Wine, nibbles and sensitively hung paintings along with the colour, fun and interest Ursula brought to the gallery created a wonderful ambience for the opening to her show. Her paintings looked at home in the space and offered their own 'conversation' to which visitors responded and became part of the event. People were able to linger, mull and wander; converse with the artist and others about her work. By taking the time to form personal relationships with each artwork they discovered reasons within themselves, or by talking with others, as to why they liked one, or some, in particular. Sometimes a work they might not have taken to at first would begin to have more meaning the more they considered it. A nice surprise to allow yourself to experience something new and find that you like it! Some people were inspired to buy and make a chosen artwork their own, which really is a great feeling!
